Reel Brum Commission: Vertical Short Film

CALL OUT: Vertical short film commission (9:16), £2,000 fee

REEL BRUM are commissioning one filmmaker or small team to collaborate with a local or regional brand and make a vertical, story led short film (around 2 minutes).

This is not traditional advertising. We are testing a more narrative approach, films that show what a brand stands for, not just what it sells.

The Commission

This is a pilot project. We can offer £2,000 to the selected filmmaker or team to produce the film. REEL BRUM will support the brand partnership and help share the finished film across our channels as the flagship example of the initiative.

The first brand partner

MB Quizzes is a hosted, remote quiz experience built to bring people together, especially for people who cannot easily get out, live far apart, or just need a reason to connect.

They want a warm, witty, story led film about connection and shared experience. Not a salesy promo.

Who we are looking for

• Filmmakers with experience shooting vertical (9:16) and delivering for phone viewing

•  A small, ready to go team, or a clear plan to deliver quickly

•  Ability to work to a fast turnaround (around 4 weeks)
